Zoella Beauty Jelly & Gelato Review!

Zoe Sugg (aka Zoella) has just released her new range in Zoella Beauty called Jelly and Gelato and it is officially the best thing on this planet! With every item costing under £6, Zoe has created the ultimate summer beauty essentials range that every young girl is in need of right now. I am so obsessed with the scent of these products. Zoe describes them as being an elderflower and cream scent, and to me that doesn't really say much as I'm not really a beauty scent connoisseur, but....I can tell you that they smell absolutely amazing! They are a perfect blend of fruity, sweet, and fresh, making for the perfect summer scent. Another thing I love about these are the packaging. They are all in lovely pastel shades that fit perfectly with her other ranges. They are mainly in a pale blue, peach and pastel pink shade and they are sooo cute!

Shower Shake - £4.50

The Shower Shake has by far the best packaging, with the bottle looking exactly like a milkshake! Even a straw included! It is so cute and promises to be a luxuriously moisturising body wash. It carries the same amazing scent as all the products and makes your skin smell absolutely amazing, as well as super soft.

Shower Sauce - £3.75

The shower sauce is just a typical body wash, perfect for travelling and again smelling absolutely delicious. This is a summer staple and you definitely won't regret this.

Body Pudding - £6.00

This is the ultimate body cream and works soooo soo well. I tried it for the first time today and it is sooo gorgeous. The scent is fresh and fruity and it makes your skin super soft. It has tiny little exfoliating beads in it that help make your skin the smoothest it can be and it is this beautiful pale pink shade.

Gelat'Eau Body Mist - £6.00

I always carry a Zoella Body Mist in my bag with me and I am so pleased she has released another one because these are amazing. They are so strong for a body mist and the scent lasts pretty much all day. This one smells absolutely amazing and I think it is my favourite scent out of all the body mists Zoella has released. And the packaging is soooo cute!

Cream Body Scrub - £6.00

This is such an incredible product. It applies in the shower with wet skin and you just massage it in and the exfoliating scrub lathers into a creamy amazing smelling product and it works wonders! It makes your skin silky smooth, perfect for summer and looks exactly like a mango sorbet!

As you can see Zoe's new range is so cute and I can promise they all smell sooo amazing! Definitely some must haves for summer and being so affordable, you have no excuse! They are available at Superdrug, online and in-store, and also on

Delicious Carob Cake Recipe - Healthy (No added sugar!)

This cake is an excellent way to enjoy the taste of a moist chocolate fudge cake without all the added sugar and calories. Carob syrup acts as a perfect substitution for melted chocolate and the added banana gives you the sweetness without need for added sugar! Healthy, moist and delicious!

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 ripe banana (mashed)
  • 3 tbsp carob syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup self raising flour
  • 1/4 cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • handful of sunflower seeds (for decoration)
  • 2 tsp carob syrup (for decoration)

  1. Preheat your oven to 160 degrees Centigrade or 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Beat the margarine until smooth and slowly beat in the eggs one at a time.
  3. Mash the banana and whisk into the mix.
  4. Add the carob syrup and vanilla extract and beat well until smooth.
  5. Fold in all the dry ingredients until the mixture is well mixed and smooth.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased cake tin and sprinkle the sunflower seeds on the top and drizzle with the carob syrup.
  7. Place the cake in the oven for 40-45 mins until a skewer comes out clean from the cake.
  8. Cool on a wire rack and enjoy!

Paris Haute Couture Week 2016

It's Paris Haute Couture Week this week and you can believe it is as spectacular as ever before. If you aren't familiar, 'Haute Couture' is defined as 'high sewing' which is basically the idea of hand making beautiful, extravagant garments in small ateliers in Paris, with no more than 20 staff. Each piece is delicately hand-crafted with only one made of each design, making each garment even more special. So far this week, we have seen stunning designs from Chanel, Dior, Ralph and Russo, Versace, and much more. Today, we have shows from Elie Saab, Jean Paul Gaultier and Valentino to name a few, so look out for those looks. Paris Haute Couture Week has been running for 90 years so before I go through the highlights of this weeks shows, let's look back at some signature looks from the past 90 years.

 1988 Yves Saint Laurent

Balmain Couture 1992

Chanel Haute Couture 1994

1956 - Barbara Balmain wearing Pierre Balmain

Now let's take a look at some of the highlights from this week's show so far. First up, the stunning designs from Chanel Haute Couture.

Some of the key features in the Chanel set were very Blair Waldorf inspired, with the Alice bands, high buns, gloves and embroidered jackets. The pieces were a lot more structured than most other designs we will see during Paris Couture Week. For the makeup, every model wore a smudged eyeliner look which added a grunge edge to the put together, haute designs.

The next designer that I really loved was Dior. Here are some of the highlights from their show.

A key feature in the Dior looks were the flip flops, which are a first for a Haute Couture show. The sandals added a more laid back feel to the otherwise smart monochromatic looks.

The third collection that I really loved was Atelier Versace Haute Couture AW16. They designed some incredible pieces that looked stunning on the runway.

Donatella Versace had some beautiful concepts, with the use of ruffles and metallic fabrics being at the forefront of her designs.

I thought I would give a quick mention to Giambattista Valli whose stunning ball gowns looked incredible on the runway. Truly encompassing what it means by Haute Couture.

Ralph and Russo also featured some incredible designs which I have loved, their gowns are the perfect blend of princess vibes and smart couture. Here are some highlights from their show.

Their main spectacle however was from this years Spring/Summer show, where they closed with this incredible wedding gown. It was made from 826 meters of tulle, 46 meters of organza and millions of beads, crystals and pearls. It truly was haute couture at its finest.

Hopefully, we will continue to see some incredible examples of skilled craftsmanship and design in the form of these stunning garments in the week ahead.
